Scheme of the Examination for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination:
The SSC CGL Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:
SSC CGL Tier-I -- Computer Based Examination
SSC CGL Tier-II -- Computer Based Examination
SSC CGL Tier-III --Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper)
SSC CGL Tier-IV -- Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable) /Document Verification
Interview component has been dispensed with. There will, therefore, be no interview

SSC CGL Tier-I and Tier-II will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension in Tier-I and Paper-II in Tier-II.

There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer in Tier-I.
In Tier-II, the negative marking system of 0.25 for each wrong answer in paper II (English Language & Comprehension) of Tier-II and 0.50 for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper III and Paper IV of Tier II.

In SSC CGLE Tier-II, Paper-I and Paper-II are compulsory for all the posts.

The Paper in SSC CGLTier-III will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. Part paper written in Hindi and part in English will be awarded zero marks. 

Tier-IV (Skill Test): 

In the SSC CGL Tier-IV, Computer Proficiency Test and Data Entry Skill Test will be conducted.

The merit will be prepared on overall performance in SSC CGL Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3.
The candidate will need to qualify all the tiers i.e SSC CGL Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III separately

There will be no sectional cut-off.
